One of the continuing battles I fought over 28 years was trying to get students to stop saying "up" and "down" when what they really meant was "north" and "south".
"Up is towards the moon" was what I always said. Yes, I told the same jokes over and over again for 28 years.
So when I decided to move some of my studio equipment UP into our seldom-used living room, I also decided to rename the living room...............(drum roll)...........
