Garments
I copied the inside of a coat, first using the "pin it to a cork board" method with pattern paper. This worked tolerably well for the flat front but it was obvious that it would not work around the back of the neck. I draped some of the last of Grandma's old threadbare cotton sheets around it, pinned and connected the dots. After lots of fussing and eventually sewing, the pockets were beautiful: but putting in the iPod and the Palm Pilot dragged the lining down and also made additional bulk so that the coat would not button! 10 hours down the drain, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Next project: Copying some dresses for Emily

This one is her favorite and is the first one I will copy, using the total destruction method: I will un-sew or pick out every seam.
